Are you dreaming of living the sweet life in Italy but feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to find a place to live? Well, today we show you the exact steps that we took to find our rental, the beautiful villa that we featured in this video. We are going to share the very four websites that we use to find our villa.

Immobiliare

And the first one is immobiliare.it for Italia.

Choose English, then you want to make sure the rent tab is selected. You’re going to type in the city or town and the province, usually not the region. I select furnished under the other features, and I want to make sure it’s for rent and not for sale.

A lot of affordable places on Immobiliare. This one is furnished on the ground floor. Plan T means piano terra, which means ground floor, because in Italy first floor is actually up one flight of steps.

This has a 1,005 square feet, one bathroom. It has a balcony, beautiful flooring, fully furnished, nice balcony. And up there you can see the air con, so there is air conditioning and heat, which is not always guaranteed that you get that, but this one has it. Beautiful money shot right there, beautiful view.

Subito

The next site is Subito with the extension .it. Choose English, accetta means accept. Choose your category, which is going to be either houses, detached and terraced houses, or apartments. And then you put in your town and province. Cute is Carini, is for Carini in English.

And we want to select rent, and then further down I’m going to select furnished. Toggle that on to green, or purple in this case, and we’re going to see the exact one that we saw at the other site, four rooms in Carini for 600 euros a month.

Let’s check out the studio flat. It’s one bedroom, it does not specify the floor that it’s on, but it does have reserved parking, which is really, really good. It does have a balcony, fully furnished.

There are maps at the bottom of each listing to show you the proximity to the ocean. Tyrannian Sea right there on the gulf, a few minutes away.

Let’s look at some pictures here. Nice balcony, lots of good parking, nice size, modern kitchen. There is the aircon, I believe that’s the aircon for air conditioning and heating. Nice tiled bathroom, shower, lots of good storage. There aren’t walk-in closets, but there’s an armoire and dresser, and there’s the radiator.

Lots of good natural light, and you would save the url so that you can give this to your realtor later.

Casa

The very next site is Casa, and we will accept, choose English, and then we’re going to choose rent today and not things for sale. Choose your town.

This time I’m going to use the map feature. What is really nice about casa.it is that the listings populate according to how you enlarge the map. So I’m going to choose furnished, of course, and as we enlarge the map, the listings on the left in the list populate.

They adjust, so it’s very responsive. I really like it. We’re going to scroll down and find something affordable.

Here’s a 1,200 square foot apartment on the ground floor, fully furnished. And looks like it has three bedrooms. A little bit more inland.

Let’s look at some pictures here. Sometimes when they have the enlarge feature, it’s not larger when you click it. Sometimes the original is better.

There is the aircon in the wall, so that’s air conditioning. Looks very cozy. Nice fixtures, nice finishes.

This is a very narrow secondary bath with a shower and a washing machine. Master bedroom. Very good quality. Here’s the main bath. Extra room. Very nice property.

You would copy and paste the URL to a notepad to give it to your realtor later.

Idealista

And last but not least, the best for last, is idealista.it and English. Accept and close.

Choose rent if you’re going to choose a rental. Village and town. And this time, Carini is translated as nice instead of cute.

I think that’s funny. Forty-two properties available in the search from the search. And map to the left. There’s the equipment.

We’re going to choose furnished. And there’s the one we saw on the other site.

Let’s look for something that’s going to be seasonal with a seasonal contract or seasonal rental agreement.

Something affordable. This is for 660 euros per month, 750 square feet, four rooms. Looks like there’s a lot of amenities here.

What a beautiful place. Wow. Tennis courts, pool. It’s available from the end of May to the end of September. During the summer period, very affordable. What a gorgeous, beautiful Sicilian property.

A swimming pool, tennis courts, beautiful amenities, outdoor eating. There’s a kitchen outdoors. Just stunning. The beautiful Sicilian countryside. Indoor kitchen as well. Full-size refrigerator.

These serrande that come down really protect the property from getting too hot. Those serrande that come down, they keep in the cool and keep the heat out. Secondary bedroom, even some office space.

And there is the air con. Beautiful property. And of course, you want to save the URL to give to your realtor later.

Real Estate Company in Sicily

The real estate company we used to find our rental villa was Il Metroquadro Immobiliare. They are in Carini, Sicily. They mostly deal with Carini, Cinisi, and Capaci.

And it’s a very professional company. They have a wonderful office. This is where we signed our contract. There is our realtor, Rosario Amato. He was very professional and friendly and very knowledgeable. They take care of everything for you.

They list their services out on their website, and they are very transparent with their prices. So you can see exactly what it will cost you. And they take care of getting the lease agreement and registering that with the fiscal authorities in the commune.

They also have land for sale, commercial businesses for sale, and some rentals. There are a few rentals here. Here’s a very affordable one for 450 euros in Cinesi, which is a nearby town to Carini.

Many more properties for sale than for rent, but they are a really good professional company. They take care of it all.

And I’ll tell you, if you find something for sale by owner, you have to make sure that contract is provided.

You need a copy to be able to register with the comune, with the fiscal authority. You need that for residency.

So it’s really nice to go with a realtor. They take care of it all. Even though they charge a fee, it’s fine.

This is their Facebook group and they have a lot of properties for sale. Their pictures are stunning. And you can join that Mediazione Immobiliari Carini. You can find that on Facebook.

And I highly recommend Rosario Amato. Great guy, and it really is the easiest way to go. Even though you’re paying a fee, it’s all done for you, and you’re safe and know it’s done right.
