Moving To SICILY From USA In Our 60s

We chose Carini, Sicily, as our new home. This medieval town holds special significance for Croce, as it’s where he was born and raised. Beyond the personal connection, Carini offers a charming atmosphere, a rich culinary heritage, and the opportunity to connect with family and make new friends.

Our home boasts a picturesque view of the Castello di Carini and the surrounding Sicilian countryside. We spend our days exploring the town’s quaint streets, visiting local markets, and enjoying the warm Mediterranean sun.

Carini provides a peaceful and authentic Italian experience, far removed from the hustle and bustle of larger cities.

Moving to Sicily has been quite an adventure.  I’m Carol and this is my husband Croce.  And in March of ’22, we decided, in our 60s, to move to Carini, Sicily where Croce was born and raised.

This medieval town is a special place full of wonderful childhood memories.

Best Part of Moving to Italy

A big part of enjoying Sicily is tasting so many favorite foods.  Best of all is we get to see our dear family and also make new friends.

We have a perfect view of the Castello di Carini from our veranda and of the beautiful countryside.
